Zodiacal Light Calculator Plot
The model of zodiacal light used is assumed to follow a slightly
cooler-than-solar spectrum (reddened) and is based on table 17 in
Leinert et al. (1998), A&AS, 127, 1. At certain times of the year,
the flux from the zodiacal light in the NUV may be large enough to
pose a threat to the detector safety and prevent an observation from
being scheduled by the mission planning system. The approximate value
of this limit is known as the 'Zodiacal Light Flux Limit' and it is
superimposed on the plot as a dashed line.
